Missing Person Village of Weedsport Town of Brutus (North Central Cayuga County)

Sheriff Rob Outhouse reports that the search is continuing in the attempt to locate Alan Broder the 61 year old man that wandered away from the Evergreen Heights Adult Care Facility on Oakland Road on the northern border of Weedsport yesterday afternoon.

Sheriff’s Deputies, Detectives, State and local police, NYS DEC Forest Rangers, Highland Search & Rescue along with Search & Rescue teams from Oswego and Onondaga Counties and the Weedsport Fire Department continued their efforts in the Weedsport and Town of Brutus area.

The Sheriff’s Office has updated reports that Mr. Broder was last seen in the Oakland & Compton Road area as late as 5:00 PM Tuesday night.

Sheriff’s Detectives have confirmed from a second eye witness that someone matching the description of Mr. Broder was in fact at the Pilot Truck Stop on 7th North Street in Liverpool (Onondaga County) sometime around 8:00 PM Tuesday night.

“We are requesting that anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Alan Broder or that has seen anyone matching his description in the last 24 hours contact the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office at 315-253-1222.”
