Preliminary Autopsy Report Alan Broder Missing Person Case from Weedsport 01-24-06
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sheriff Rob Outhouse reports that the preliminary report has been received from the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office. The summary dated 02-01-06 lists the following:

Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Hypothermia
Due to: Environmental Exposure
Contributory: Schizophrenia

The Medical Examiner’s findings are consistent with what Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives found in evidence at the recovery scene. The victim’s body was found Monday morning during an air search conducted by Sheriff’s Office personnel utilizing a State Police Helicopter crew based in Syracuse. The Sheriff’s investigation is closed pending further information.
