Serious Personal Injury Town of Victory Northern Cayuga County
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sheriff Rob Outhouse reports that the Cayuga County Emergency Dispatch Center received a cellular 911 call at 1:52 PM Monday afternoon from a man requesting an Ambulance for an unconscious female at the Gunton residence on Brandt Road in the Town of Victory. The caller described the female as lying on the floor bleeding from her mouth and was a possible stroke victim. The Northern Cayuga Volunteer Ambulance: CIMVAC responded along with Victory Fire Department Rescue. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and remains there in critical condition.

The Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the CIMVAC Ambulance Crew upon their return trip from University Hospital due to their concerns of the unconscious state and what appeared to be injuries sustained by the victim. Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives responded to the residence and University Hospital to begin their investigation. A search Warrant has been applied for, was issued and is being executed at the residence at 2141 Brandt Road in the Town of Victory. Sheriff’s Deputies are continuing to maintain a security at the residence as this investigation continues.

Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives are being assisted by the NYSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Specialists.

The victim: Anna J. Gunton, 52 years of age, operated a sales booth at the Syracuse Regional Market and also was employed at Marshall’s on Grant Avenue in Auburn.
