Travel Advisory All of Cayuga County
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sheriff Rob Outhouse reports that all of Cayuga County is sustaining damage due to high winds at times gusting in excess of 45 MPH. The Cayuga County 911 center is fielding calls of sporadic damage from felled trees and downed power lines.

“I am issuing a travel advisory for all of Cayuga County. Everyone traveling on the roadways is advised to use increased caution due to fallen trees, limbs, power lines and debris. We will keep everyone informed as conditions change.”

“Please report any and all emergencies to the 911 center by calling 911 from either a hard line or cellular telephone. Remain patient and give detailed information to the Dispatcher as requested. There is an extremely large call load at the 911 Center. It may take more time than usual to get through to a Dispatcher. All other non-emergency or inquiry calls should be made on our seven digit lines.”
