Custody Division Administrator Appointment
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sheriff Rob Outhouse announces that Jeffrey R. Franceschelli has been appointed Administrator of the Custody Division of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office. The previous Administrator: James A. Taber resigned his position as Administrator effective in 2005 to retire again at age 62.
Administrator Franceschelli assumes the day-to-day responsibility of overseeing the Cayuga County Jail, Transportation of Inmates, Community Services Details and Inmate Boarding. The Administrator is one of two appointed positions in the Sheriff’s Office, the other being the Undersheriff. The Administrator is immediately responsible to Undersheriff Stephen B. McLoud. Cayuga County Jail has a capacity of 214 inmates and on average houses 160. There are presently 86 Corrections positions Budgeted.
Administrator Franceschelli previously served in the Sheriff’s Office as First Sergeant in the Custody Division. He is in his fourteenth year of service in the Custody Division where he began his career as a Corrections Officer.
