Civil Service Test Custody Division
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sheriff Rob Outhouse is looking for a few good men and women for Career opportunities in our Custody Division.

The Cayuga County Human Resources Office on the second floor of the Cayuga County Office Building located at 160 Genesee Street in Auburn has applications for the Corrections Officer test to be held statewide April 8, 2006. The last date for filing for the exam is March 1st.

The Sheriff’s Office Custody Division presently has 86 positions allocated in the 2006 budget, some are presently vacant with four more new positions becoming available after July 1st.

Corrections personnel are responsible for safety and security at the Cayuga County Jail, transportation of inmates as well as inmates working on Community Services Work Details.

The first year salary including all incentives is $33,114.00
