COUNTERFEIT MONEY PASSED IN SOUTHERN CAYUGA COUNTY VILLAGE of MORAVIA
Sheriff Rob Outhouse reports that Detectives from the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office and the Moravia Police Department are investigating the use of a counterfeit fifty-dollar bill at the Kwik Fill convenience store in the Village of Moravia.
On Saturday September 3rd at about 10:00 PM a man entered the Kwik Fill and purchased a pack of cigarettes with a fifty-dollar bill. The bill was later determined to be counterfeit.
The man is described as a white male with dark colored hair. The male is between 5’04” and 5’07” with a heavy build. He was driving a four-door, dark colored, older model vehicle, possibly a Buick.
The Sheriff asks that anyone with any information they believe would be helpful to the investigation contact Detective Smith directly at 315-253-4869.
