Sheriff Rob Outhouse reports that Detectives from the Cayuga County Sheriff's Office and the Moravia Police Department are investigating the use of a counterfeit fifty-dollar bill at the Kwik Fill convenience store in the Village of Moravia.

On Saturday September 3rd at about 10:00 PM a man entered the Kwik Fill and purchased a pack of cigarettes with a fifty-dollar bill. The bill was later determined to be counterfeit.

The man is described as a white male with dark colored hair. The male is between 5’04” and 5’07” with a heavy build. He was driving a four-door, dark colored, older model vehicle, possibly a Buick.

The Sheriff asks that anyone with any information they believe would be helpful to the investigation contact Detective Smith directly at 315-253-4869.
