Inmate Arrest for Felony Assault While in Custody

Sheriff Rob Outhouse announces that the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one person in connection with an assault, which occurred inside the Cayuga County Jail.

On 10-26-05 at 8:30 AM Custody Deputies discovered an inmate with a head laceration. Upon investigation Deputies discovered the inmate had been assaulted by another inmate. The injured inmate was treated by “in-house” medical staff.

The investigation was continued by Custody staff and Detectives in the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Unit which lead to the arrest of inmate Marques Milligan 6:00 PM that day.

Charged is:

• Marques Milligan age 22 of 214 Green St. Syracuse, N.Y. currently being held on armed robbery charges out of the City of Auburn.
• Assault in the second degree (felony)

Milligan was arraigned in the Town of Brutus Court by Sheriff’s Deputies and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail on the new charge in lieu of $5,000 cash of $10,000 bond.
