POSSIBLE IMPERSONATION OF A POLICE OFFICER
Sheriff Rob Outhouse reports that on November 3, 2005 Deputies responded to a report of a person possibly impersonating a police officer. A female reported that a man driving a white colored, full size pick-up truck with a lightbar on the roof pulled her over on State Route 34 in the Town of Sennett. She reported that the subject who stopped her was a white male about 40 years of age, about 6 feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds, He had brown hair and a thick brown mustache. The man was dressed in a tan uniform with a silver colored star shaped badge.
We are requesting the public’s assistance, especially from anyone who may have observed these vehicles: a white pickup truck and a maroon four door car parked on the east side of State Route 34 between Auburn and Weedsport early Thursday afternoon.
The Sheriff asks that anyone with any information they believe would be helpful to the investigation contact Detective Steve Smith at 253-4869.
