Handgun Safety Course
For Immediate Release

Sheriff Rob Outhouse announces that a Handgun Safety Course will be offered on Saturday morning: December 17, 2005. The course will be held at the Salmon Creek Sportsman’s Club on the Scipio-Venice Town Line Road (between Routes 34 and 34B) in the Town of Scipio in southern Cayuga County. This course will be taught by members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and will fulfill the safety course requirements for pistol permit applicants in Cayuga County. Also, anyone interested in learning more about firearms safety is welcome to attend. You do not need to be a permit applicant to take the instruction! There will be a nominal fee of $10.00 per person to cover course costs including lunch. The class will start promptly at 8:00am and will last approximately 5-6 hours.

To register for the course, please contact Sergeant Ralph Gray at the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Training Office at 315 253-3935. Leave a detailed message on the 24 hours voicemail including your name, telephone number and when and where you can be reached to confirm your attendance.
